Who We Are:
Diane Tropea & Don Hubbard are the core members of The Decades Band, usually performing as a duo or trio and even solo if needed. They have performed over 600 gigs in greater Austin under the The Decades Band name. They deliver popular multi-genre cover songs from many decades and their music almost always gets folks up out of their seats and dancing. They bring a high degree of sound quality and professionalism to every song and their guitarist routinely adds additional accompaniment using guitar-synth lead instruments like Sax, Organ, Accordion, Flute, Vibes, Accordion, Clarinet, Banjo and various brass instruments in addition to various guitar types. This is why when you hear The Decades Band you’ll realize they don’t sound like any other duo band. Their sound is rich with accompaniment and the vocals by Diane Tropea are 2nd to none.  That is why they are able to deliver a big band sound to clients at an affordable smaller band cost.

Diane and Don have been performing as a duo since 2015 after a chance introduction by a venue owner. After working together for just a few short weeks, it became clear there was something special going on. Their popularity around Austin has continued to grow and both decided early on that they would continue to perform live music until it was no longer fun or rewarding. The Decades Band can be hired as a duo, trio band or as a solo act for Weddings; Cocktail / Dinner Parties; Anniversaries; Awards Dinners & Benefits; Festivals; Private Parties; and Dance Events.

The variety and quality of the music can be shaped to provide just the right vibe for your event. Diane and Don will work with you tirelessly to ensure the music lineup and vibe is exactly as you need it to be.
